UFABC is an independent public foundation that promotes research and scientific and technological development in São Paulo. It offers numerous opportunities for international collaborations. The university houses state-of-the-art infrastructure, enabling cutting-edge research in nanosciences and advanced materials. A comprehensive multi-user platform is available to researchers, postdocs, graduate students, and technicians.

The Prof. Alves Lab occupies approximately 170 square meters and is equipped with a wide range of scientific tools and facilities for preparation, characterization, and physicochemical studies, including:

In addition to the equipment within the lab, our team has access to the UFABC Multiuser Experimental Centers (https://cem.propes.ufabc.edu.br/) and the National Laboratories at CNPEM in Campinas (~100 km from Santo André), where we can utilize advanced facilities, including synchrotron radiation for X-ray diffraction and scattering, high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HR-TEM), and microfabrication resources (https://cnpem.br/).

With this robust infrastructure, our lab is fully equipped to undertake advanced nanotechnology and materials science research, fostering innovation and scientific discovery.
